Lipowise
Mobile app & skinfold caliper — UX/UI
Lipowise is a smart tool comprising mobile apps and a skinfold caliper for assessment and screening body fat by measuring the thickness and compressibility of skinfolds. The data collection method simplifies body composition assessment. The result of the skinfold thickness measurement is sent via Bluetooth, which makes the procedure more accurate, faster and easier.
My role and process
As a designer for the Lipowise project, my role focused on user experience and user interface development. I started from product specifications and user psychology, conducting concept and usability testing (low-fidelity prototype) to obtain feedback. After defining the interaction model with the team and stakeholders, I developed wireframes and prototypes around customer needs.
I focused on a consistent, intuitive design across navigation for physical and healthcare professionals.
Lipowise aims to simplify skinfold assessment and make it a daily practice in health, sports, and nutrition. The flow is: (1) choose the body fat equation; (2) perform the measurement; (3) visualize the report.
I worked directly with the development team to keep design unified across navigation, with iterative usability tests across the team.
Conclusion
The project involved continuous collaboration with stakeholders and improvement at every stage. More about Lipowise: lipowise.com.
